Indie Band from the San Francisco Bay Area formed in 2023 with Frances Ancheta, Katherine Park, Lisa Graciano, Mjoy, celebrating AANHPI singer and songwriters, and our friends!

Frances Ancheta

Tropical new wave and thoughtful folk Filipina American singer/songwriter Frances is an acoustic musician from San Francisco with three full-length albums and a champion for creative arts therapy.

Katherine Park

Ethereal wave and alternative rock Biracial Korean and British American songstress and actor Katherine began her career in Boston and brought her romantic and rosy recording style to Alameda, California.

Lisa Graciano

Euro folk, jazz, and blues scenester Lisa grew up in three South East Asian cities, immigrated to the Netherlands when she was 22, After formative years in the alt music scene of Manila. Now in Oakland, she leads gamelan-infused band Purnamasari.

Mjoy

Pop rock singer-songwriter Maia Joie Wiitala is MJoy, has a a Hip Hop practice, heritage from Okinawa, Italy and more, and creates something for everyone from her home base in Alameda, California.

Asian American women in music

Pandan Leaf Collective is an all-woman Asian American indie band formed in 2023 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Each of us solo singers and songwriters in our own right, we all met on Zoom during the pandemic and began sharing our songs, stories, food with each other from our heritages which include Philippines, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Okinawa. We created a safe space where we would rehearse until wee hours, lift one another up, along with fellow AANHPI musicians and our friends, share food and laugh and laugh. We welcome you to our circle.
